1. Weekly market in Brunssum centre and in Treebeek

One of the most popular markets in Brunssum is the weekly market in Kerkstraat in the town centre. The market is held each Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers a wide variety of products, including vegetables and fruit, fish, meat and cheese, next to clothing, accessories and household articles. The offer varies from week to week, but this weekly market is certainly a great opportunity to shop for fresh, local produce. Another great asset, in the surrounding area there are plenty of free parking spaces. No parking costs, therefore!

2. Annual market in Treebeek

Another market worth your while is the annual market in Treebeek. For years a phenomenon and one of the largest in the Netherlands! This market (or fair) offers an even bigger variety in stands and attractions. Besides the usual products you also find on the weekly market, there are plenty of stands with hand-made artisan products, toys and souvenirs. The market also has several food stands where you can enjoy a wide range of specialties!

3. Pearl market in Brunssum

De Parelmarkt or The ‘Parel’ market in Shopping centre ’De Parel’ in Brunssum is a popular market to visit. You can even say that this market has become a tradition. Stroll along the many stands of traders from all over the country, and of the local shop owners located in the shopping centre. A nice day out for the entire family! 

4. Jumble sale in the Schutterspark in Brunssum

In the old days you could shop second-hand goods on the Free Market in Brunssum, but unfortunately this Sunday market closed a number of years ago. But don’t despair! In the spring and summer months a great jumble sale will take place in the Schutterspark in Brunssum. Here, you will find second-hand vintage, antiques, bric-a-brac, things for your home, clothing, toys and more. 

5. Orange Jumble sale and children’s market in Brunssum

King’s Day in Brunssum is orange jumble sale in Rumpenerstraat, Lindeplein and Kerkstraat! A tradition in the town centre. Each year vendors offer the latest fashion trends, gadgets and electronics and of course the best food you can get in Brunssum. Most of the local entrepreneurs also open their doors on this special bank holiday. There is also a children’s flea market on Lindeplein, where the kids can ‘play shop’ for real!
