After a few years’ respite, Italian ‘Ristorante La Storia’ has since 2023 settled at 5, Kerkstraat. La Storia has been a synonym for fine dining Italian style for years and years and its owner Giovanna di Palma is a well-known face in Brunssum.
Sample the 3, 4 or 5 course Menu A Tavola with accompanying wines or try any of their other dishes from the à la carte menu. All prepared with fresh produce of the season and also tailored to people with allergies. The menu has plenty of vegetarian or vegan proof options! For pizza lovers, there is a wide range of pizzas to choose from. Ristorante La Storia also provides a catering service! On Fridays and Saturdays after 9 p.m. the restaurant transforms into a genuine Manhattan Lounge Bar, offering cocktails, shots and a wide selection of wine, beer, whiskey and champagne. And not to forget, good music!

Restaurant Silmo
Silmo is the latest Asian fusion hotspot in the centre of Brunssum, open to the public since April 2024. Silmo offers à la carte dining as well as an ‘all you can eat’ option. Sustainability is high on the agenda at Silmo’s, both in the sourcing of their high-quality ingredients and their interior design.
The à la carte menu has classics like carpaccio and vitello tonnato, but also a variety of sashimi, tataki, sushi and maki, Asian bites, soups, fish, meat and vegetarian options. The ‘all you can eat’ option for a fixed price is a nice opportunity to try out the fusion cuisine with no time limit. Don’t forget to have a look at their list of cocktails!

Steakhouse Dalmacija
Steakhouse Dalmacija is located on Lindeplein and a great choice if you are a juicy meat lover. Here, you can sample the best that Balkan cuisine has to offer. Besides typically Balkan dishes, the restaurant also offers a great choice in international dishes. And of course, there is no lack of wines and liqueurs from the region.
The friendly owners are especially proud of their steaks, which are the specialty of the house. Discover the various juicy meat dishes, including supersteaks, lamb and Balkan specialties. Canadian Corner, located on Akerstraat, is the perfect place to go to when you are looking for something different. This cosy restaurant offers various dishes inspired by the Canadian art of cooking. Meat lovers can choose between juicy hamburgers, steaks, chicken or ribs. But there is also plenty of choice for fish lovers and vegetarians.

For an Italian meal you are most welcome at Pizzeria Molise, located on Rimburgerweg. The extensive menu offers a wide variety of pasta, pizza, meat and fish dishes. Keta's Baguette & Pizzeria is another great option if you like Italian food, located on Rumpenerstraat.
